Vinyl door are the least expensive. The warranty is usually lifetime, some manufactures offer accidental glass breakage. Almost all vinyl doors with proper glazing will qualify for the up to $1,500.00 Federal Energy Tax Credit.

Vinyl doors come in French, and sliding, they do not make vinyl entry doors, that I know of. Vinyl sliding doors are used more than any other door and hold up in all types of climatic conditions.

The French door does not do as well in severe wind conditions.

The down side of vinyl doors is that they only come in white or tan and can not be painted. Exterior painted vinyl doors are available but be careful, they will fade.
